Frank E. Curtis
Professor, Director of Graduate Studies @Industrial and Systems Engineering Department, Lehigh University
Frank E. Curtis is a Professor in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at Lehigh University. He serves as the Director of Graduate Studies and oversees everything related to the Industrial and Systems Engineering doctoral program. His research focuses on designing, analyzing, and implementing numerical methods for solving large-scale non-linear optimization problems. For his contributions to the field, prof. Curtis has received numerous awards, including the prestigious SIAM/MOS Lagrange Prize for Optimization. He currently serves on the editorial board of several high-profile research journals in computing, mathematics, and optimization and is very active in several professional societies and groups related to mathematical optimization and computing. As a mentor, prof. Curtis has been recognized through several awards and nominations from his students for his leadership and commitment to his students' success.
