I have a concern about coordinated courses. In the past, we in Math have coordinated all of our multiple-lecture courses, with common exams, homework assign, ents, etc.
Gregory Reihman
35:39
David Johnson: I agree that this is a challenge—for some courses/departments, individual instructors have more autonomy over objectives, assessments, etc. For others, individual instructors have to coordinate with their colleagues.
David Johnson
35:56
However, last Spring our exams were problematic; we had to offer exams at various times due to distances involved. That resulted in some students getting advance opportunities to know what would be on tehir exam.
Gregory Reihman
36:04
David Johns (cont.) if you are in the latter category, please consult with coordinator/dept chair.
David Johnson
36:39
I don't see that format as viable, and without the common exams, I don't see much point to coordinated classes.
David Johnson
37:04
Sorry for the choppy writing; but I can only post a few lines at a time.
Gregory Reihman
39:36
David Johnson: I can see how that would be a challenge. I think that’s a crucial conversation to have with your department. Both for equity across sections, and also—as you note—to promote academic integrity. There might be a solution that involves common online quizzes (that have variable content for each student) and a ‘common-hour’ online quiz/exam.

The biggest takeaway from the ESE 405 Energy Project Management is how to plan, execute and manage energy projects that solve a unique problem for the company or society benefit
